Why do I want to feature an inspirational person in my newsletter?

I want to feature people like Jessica who have crossed my path and touched my life, inspiring me toward greatness. Too many of us fail to see greatness in ourselves. Somehow, it doesn’t seem to matter what we have achieved; we often need others to point out to us how we excel. People display “greatness” by their attitude, their lifestyle, their choices, their actions… I want to recognize the people in my life who lead by example.

How did I meet Jessica?

I’ve met Jessica while teaching kids Yoga at Pacific Gardens Co-Housing. We quickly became friends and since then she has been an inspiration to me. Jessica is a chiropractor and with her husband Glenn they own Reed family chiropractic. She homeschools her two children, is a Yoga instructor and owner of Wellspring Yoga studio. I often wonder how she balances all of this! I advise anyone that needs a chiropractor to go see her or her husband Dr. Glen at their office Reed Family Wellness. After all they are both from chiropractor families and they lead their life by example. 

What motivates you to exercise?
The need for sanity!

What activity/workout do you prefer?
Running for sure. Yoga is a very close second. I do love a good workout with weights though!

What is your biggest accomplishment?
It is hard to choose between a) my children (I’m so proud of them) and; b) graduating from Chiropractic college in 2004.

What is your superpower?
Balancing homeschooling, my chiropractic practice at Reed Family Wellness Centre and teaching yoga at The Wellspring. Plus, I can wiggle my ears!

What is your favourite cheat treat?
I believe in balance and chocolate is definitely my Achilles’ heel!

What is your favourite dish/recipe?
Mango prawns

What are your goals and dreams?
To feel serene. I feel that’s a pretty big dream!
